Frequently Asked Questions
Why do my gums bleed?
Almost always from inflammation caused by plaque and tartar. It is not normal and should be checked.
Is it the same as a cleaning?
No. A dental cleaning (from 66 €) removes tartar above the gum. Gum treatment cleans below it, on the root, and we quote it after the check-up.
Does it hurt?
It is done under local anaesthetic. Afterwards your gums may feel sensitive or irritated for a few days.
Can periodontitis be cured?
It is controlled and stopped. Bone that has been lost does not grow back on its own; that is why it is important to treat it early and keep up your check-ups.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many areas need treating. Your first visit is free and includes a panoramic X-ray, a diagnosis and a no-obligation quote.
