2. Purpose of processing
We process the data you provide us in order to: (a) manage your appointment request or inquiry submitted through the contact form; (b) respond to your messages sent by email, telephone, or WhatsApp; (c) compile anonymous statistics on website usage (web analytics); (d) comply with our legal obligations as a healthcare clinic.
3. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing is your consent, given when you submit the contact form or when you accept analytics cookies via the corresponding banner (Art. 6.1.a GDPR). Where you voluntarily include health-related data in your message (for example, to describe a dental problem), the processing of that information is based on your explicit consent (Art. 9.2.a GDPR), as it constitutes a special category of data.
4. Data we process
First and last name, email address, telephone number, and the content of the message you send us (which may include health data if you choose to share it). Through analytics cookies (if you accept them), we also process browsing data on an aggregated basis.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to handle your request and, thereafter, for the periods legally required for clinical and tax documentation. Analytics browsing data is retained according to the settings of each tool (see the cookies section).
6. Recipients and data processors
We do not disclose your data to third parties except where legally required. In order to provide our service, we work with the following data processors, each bound by their own confidentiality agreements:
- —Vercel Inc. (website hosting)
- —Resend (technical delivery of email generated by the contact form)
- —Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics cookies
- —Umami (in-house analytics, no third-party cookies)
- —Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — if you contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy
7. International transfers
Some of the providers listed above (Vercel, Resend, Google) may host data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another equivalent safeguard provided for under the GDPR.
8. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and portability at any time by writing to citas@maritimadental.com. If you believe your request has not been properly addressed, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
9. Cookies
The website uses its own cookies and, if you accept them via the consent banner, third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics). You can change your decision at any time by clearing the cookies from your browser.
