Has your dental clinic closed and left your treatment unfinished?

Request your full clinical record by burofax (the Dentists' Association indicates 30 days), keep the brand and type of your implants and your X-rays, and claim in writing. At Maritima Dental & Esthetics in Candelaria the first visit is free: panoramic X-ray, a written report on the state of your mouth and a written quote to continue.

What you can do now to protect your rights, and how to continue your treatment with us if you wish.

    Short answer

    What you can do now

    • Request your full clinical record by burofax. The Dentists' Association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife indicates a period of 30 days.
    • Keep the brand and type of your implants and all your diagnostics: X-rays, CT scans, quotes, invoices and receipts.
    • Claim in writing from the clinic and keep a copy. If you paid by card, you can ask your bank for a chargeback.
    • If you financed the treatment: the Association explains that, after claiming in writing from the clinic and with a report showing the treatment is unfinished, the patient can stop paying the loan (Ley 16/2011, art. 29). Before you stop paying any instalment, confirm your case with a lawyer or your consumer association.

    Where to claim

Dentists' Association of Santa Cruz de Tenerife: reclamaciones@dentef.es.

Consumer offices can guide you, although for a clinic in insolvency proceedings they may no longer be able to mediate: ask them which route is left.

If the clinic is in insolvency proceedings, the debt is handled by the insolvency administrator. Who the administrator is for each case is public: search by the company name in Spain's Public Insolvency Register (publicidadconcursal.es). A claim filed late may rank behind others: ask a lawyer about the deadlines.

We do not give legal advice and we do not assess other clinics' work: we assess the state of your mouth today.

    What we offer at Maritima

It is the standard first visit, the same for every patient:

    • Free first visit.
    • Panoramic X-ray.
    • A written report on the state of your mouth, compared with the quote and documents you bring.
    • A written quote to continue the treatment, at the clinic's usual prices.
    • Financing from 12 to 60 months if you need it.

What to bring to the visit

Bring it to the visit, on paper or on your phone. Please do not send your clinical record by WhatsApp: it is health data and we review it at the clinic. If you do not have it yet, come anyway: we take a new X-ray.

    • The quote, invoices and receipts for your treatment.
    • Reports, X-rays or CT scans, and the card or details of your implants, if you have them.
    • The financing contract, if there is one.
    • Your ID.

    FAQ

Closed clinic and unfinished treatment: questions

Do I have to pay for the first visit?

No. The first visit at Maritima Dental & Esthetics is free and includes a panoramic X-ray, a diagnosis and a no-obligation quote.

Can I book if I do not have my clinical record yet?

Yes. Bring what you have (quote, invoices, reports). At the visit we take a new panoramic X-ray, which shows the state of your mouth today.

Can I send you my clinical record by WhatsApp?

We prefer that you bring it to the visit, on paper or on your phone. It is health data and we review it at the clinic.

How much does it cost to finish my treatment?

We cannot know until we see you. After the visit we give you a written quote at the clinic's usual prices, and you can finance it over 12 to 60 months.

Can you continue an implant that another clinic placed?

It depends on the type of implant and its condition. We cannot promise it without seeing it: we assess it at the visit with the X-ray and the details you bring.

Do you help with the claim against my clinic?

We do not give legal advice. You can contact the Dentists' Association and your consumer association. The written report from the visit describes the state of your mouth today; whether it helps your claim is for whoever handles the claim to decide.
